Description

This barn, located on the east side of Mowbray's Farmyard, dates from the late 16th century, with an extension added in the late 17th or 18th century. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a corrugated iron roof that has replaced the original thatch. To the right side, there is an open hovel made of flint with brick dressings. The barn consists of three timber-framed bays, which are extended by an additional two bays, both with opposing double entrances. The roof is windbraced and has a half-hipped design with side purlins.
