Description

These are two early 18th-century cottages located on Bridge Street in Whaddon. The buildings are timber-framed and have been roughcast rendered, with thatched roofs. A local brick ridge stack rises from the main range. Originally, the cottages were one storey and attic, with a bay window on the west side, later rebuilt as two storeys and a half-hipped roof on the left-hand side. The windows now consist of a 20th-century casement oriel, double-glazed doors, and a glazed door with a large casement window to the right. There is one casement attic window and a single eyebrow dormer window. The interior retains exposed timber framing. A rear wing and a 19th-century lean-to have been replaced by modern extensions.
