Description

29 Old Great North Road is a cottage that was originally part of a handed pair, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with freestone dressings and features a slated roof with a central ashlar ridge stack. It has a symmetrical facade with two entrances, although the entrance on the left side has been blocked and replaced with an inserted window. To the right, there is a boarded door. The cottage includes four leaded light casement windows with wooden lintels and two dormer windows with sloping roofs. Inside, there are back-to-back open hearths and a boxed staircase.
