Description
Sibson Manor House is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring freestone and ashlar dressings. The roof is covered with Collyweston stone slates and has a hipped design with a gablet on the left side. A large ridge stack is positioned to the left of the center, topped with four ashlar shafts.
The building has two storeys and a three-unit plan, along with a rear service wing. The main entrance is located to the right of the center, showcasing moulded jambs and a lintel, along with a boarded door that has a rectangular fanlight above it. The ground floor includes four three-light ovolo-moulded mullioned casement windows and one two-light window, while the first floor features one two-light and three three-light windows, all similar to those on the ground floor and adorned with moulded cornices.
Inside, there is a stone chimney piece in the hall and a first-floor room, which has moulded jambs and a four-centred arch set within a square head.
