Description
The Old White Hart is a cottage located on the south-east side of High Street in West Wickham. It dates from the late 17th century and was refronted in the 19th century, with an extension added at the east end. The building is timber-framed, plastered, and clad in red brick, featuring a tiled roof with an axial ridge and a string course. It has one storey and an attic, with three late gable dormers on the front. The front wall is made of red brick and includes a segmental arch above three, three-light casements, positioned on either side of a baffle entry doorway. The cottage was extended by one bay in the late 18th to early 19th century, maintaining the red brick front wall and mansard roof, which is also tiled.
