Description

No. 81 High Street is a house, formerly a house and shop, dating from the early 19th century. The building is timber-framed and plastered, featuring a low pitched hipped roof covered with slates and a rear stack. It stands two storeys high, with a shop entrance at the south-west corner and a house entrance in the main facade, both of which have been blocked by matching inserted windows. There is also a side entrance on the north-east side. The ground floor has wooden pilastered openings with cornices above three windows and one corner window, all of which have glazing bars. The first floor features three flush-framed twelve-paned hung sash windows.
