Description

No. 57 Gloucester Road is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the early 19th century. The building is rendered and features a brick gabled stack and a stone slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, displaying a two-window range. The entrance is a deeply-set doorway with a glazed door, flanked by plate-glass shop windows. The first floor has 2/2-pane horned sash windows, and there are two casement dormers with cambered heads. The interior of the ground floor has been largely remodelled and opened out.
