Description

This is a pair of houses located at 45 and 47 Gloucester Road, dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed from limestone rubble, featuring a brick party wall stack and a stone slate roof. The houses have a double-depth plan and consist of two storeys, a basement, and an attic, with each house having a one-window range. The openings have rendered timber lintels, and the outer doorways are fitted with 20th-century half-glazed doors. Number 47 has 4/4-pane horned sashes in exposed boxes, while number 45 features a ground-floor plate-glass window and a first-floor 12/12-pane sash, along with two raking dormers that have double 4-pane 19th-century casements. There are also small openings in the basement. The interior has not been inspected.
