Description

Number 86 is a house located on Gloucester Road in Malmesbury, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with brick gable stacks and a stone slate roof. The building has a double-depth, two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic, featuring a two-window range. The central doorway is adorned with a bracketed gabled canopy and a six-panel door. To the left, there is a lower 19th-century horned three-over-three pane sash window, and to the right, a higher 19th-century three-light casement window. The house also has gabled 19th-century half-dormers with horned three-over-three pane sashes. The attached front area features iron railings, and there is a cast-iron street sign on the first floor inscribed "THE TRIANGLE." The interior has not been inspected.
