Description

No. 3 and No. 5 Bristol Street are a pair of houses built in the mid to late 19th century. They are constructed from limestone ashlar in diminishing courses, with brick ridge stacks and an interlocking tile roof. The houses have a double-depth plan and rise to three storeys, featuring a 1:2-window range. No. 3 has a symmetrical front with a matching one-window range to the left, which includes a left-hand door. Both houses have segmental-arched heads to their recessed doorways, with half-glazed doors. No. 3 has horned 2/2-pane sash windows, while No. 5 features mid-20th century casement windows. The buildings have rubble returns and a rear outshut. The interior has not been inspected. These houses are included for the visual quality of their facades and are part of a good group of buildings.
