Description

2, Bristol Street is a pair of early 19th-century houses originally containing a shop, now combined as a single dwelling. The building is constructed from rendered limestone rubble with brick gable stacks and a stone slate roof. It has a roughly L-shaped plan, including a rear left wing.

The front elevation has two storeys, an attic, and a cellar, with a three-window arrangement. The doorway is at the centre, featuring a segmental arch, a panelled door, and 8/8-pane sash windows in exposed boxes. To the left is a shop front dating from the early 19th century, including a half-glazed door, an ashlar stall riser, paired 8/8-pane sashes, a fascia, and a cornice. A cast-iron street name plate reading "BRISTOL STREET" is positioned above the doorway. The right-hand gable features a central cellar door. The rear of the building has a single 2/2-pane dormer sash window to the left, and a single-storey gabled range to the right. The interior was not inspected.
