Description

No. 29 Double Street is a house and shop dating from the early 19th century. It is two storeys high, constructed with a timber frame and roughcast exterior. The roof is covered with black-glazed pantiles and features wide panelled eaves supported by paired brackets. The shop front is double-fronted and includes four fixed windows with four lights, pointed tracery at the heads, and a moulded architrave. The upper storey has four small-paned sash windows set in flush frames, each with console brackets. The entrance is a half-glazed door, and the shop front is adorned with four half-round columns. Part of the building was formerly used as a meeting house.
