Description
15 and 15A High Street is a house dating from around 1840, which was extended in the late 19th century with the addition of a wing at the rear and a service wing to the left. The building is constructed of gault brick and features a cement tiled roof with a ridge and end stack. It stands two storeys tall with a symmetrical front elevation that includes three recessed hung sash windows with glazing bars set in flat arches. The central doorway is framed with a reeded architrave and has a flat hood above it. The door itself is a three-panelled design with two small glazed upper panels. The late 19th-century service wing is also two storeys high and includes a cellar, made of gault brick with a tiled roof. This wing features segmental arches over two windows and a stone lintel above the doorway. Original cast iron railings are present along the street front.
