Description
15 and 15A St Mary's Street is a building dating from around 1775 and earlier. It is two storeys high with attics, constructed from stone and topped with an old slate roof featuring three hipped dormers. The building has double-hung sash windows with glazing bars and a moulded eaves cornice. There are five windows in plain reveals, also with hung sashes and glazing bars, and shouldered moulded architraves adorned with triple keystones. A stone band runs at cill level. The ground floor has two modern shop windows and a door that features a similar keystone and a plain stone architrave, along with a glazed rectangular fanlight. The door consists of six panels and is accessed by two steps, with an inset scraper. One of the ground floor windows is bowed and has a plain frieze and dentilled cornice. The building also includes glazing bars on a three-light window and has a plinth. Nos 2 to 26 St Mary's Street form a group.
