Description
No 13 St Mary's Street is a building from the first half of the 19th century, featuring three storeys constructed in Wittering Pendle. The structure has stone quoins, a moulded eaves cornice, and a moulded band between the first and second floors. The windows are arranged in a 2-1-2 pattern, curved to fit the site. The top floor windows are framed in moulded stone surrounds with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars, while the first-floor windows have moulded shouldered architraves with hoods supported by brackets. The building also boasts a well-designed shop front, which lacks glazing bars and is enhanced by Greek Ionic columns, an anthemion frieze, and a moulded cornice. Additionally, there is a notable wrought iron lamp bracket. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 26 St Mary's Street.
