Description

Number 17 St Mary’s Street is probably an early 18th-century building, potentially with earlier origins. It is two storeys high with an attic. The upper storey has a rendered finish with thin imitation half-timbering, while the ground floor is ashlar. The roof is slate, hipped, and features one hipped dormer with modern glass. The building originally had two sash windows without glazing bars. It now has one modern shop window on the ground floor and one modern window. The building is included as part of a group value context with numbers 2 to 26 St Mary’s Street.
