Description

The building comprises two shops with a shared 19th-century street facade, located on Kimbolton High Street. Originally, the site contained two 16th-century timber-framed buildings, each with a side passage to the northeast. Later timber-framed ranges were added to the rear. The building is two storeys high, with roughcast rendering to the timber frame and plain tile roofs. Rear stacks are present. The first floor features three horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars, set within flush wooden frames. Two modern shop windows and doorways occupy the front. The interior of the Co-operative store reveals an exposed floor frame and a boxed staircase. According to the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments for Huntingdonshire, the building is documented on page 174.
