Description

The Post Office, located at No. 28 on Kimbolton High Street, is an early 19th-century shop. It is two storeys high with attics and features a side passage to the northwest. The building is constructed of local brick and is painted. It has a plain tile mansard roof with end stacks and a facade parapet. There are two flat-roofed dormer windows with casements. The first floor has four recessed hung sash windows with glazing bars, set in cambered gauged brick arches with wooden pelmets. Flanking the recessed half-glazed door are two large shop windows that share a common entablature. The side passage door is accented by plain panelled pilasters and a rectangular fanlight above.
