Description

This is a late 18th-century house and attached workshop. The house is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, while the workshop has corrugated iron roofing. The roof itself is thatched. The house has one storey and an attic, with gable-end stacks. It features a boarded front door and a panelled rear door, each set within plain stone lintels and keystones. Two shallow, segmental bay windows with lead roofs flank the entrance, along with two eyebrow dormer windows. The workshop has double boarded doors and a six-light workshop window. Originally a carpenter’s workshop, it was photographed in 1918 with a thatched roof.
