Description

The building adjoining Ouse Villa dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is two storeys tall and constructed of multi-coloured stock brick with a tile roof. The building features a cemented plinth and a painted band between the storeys, with the wall raised about one foot. On the first floor, there are five windows, two of which are original and now blocked, featuring cared architraves, solid frames, mullions, and transoms. The remaining windows have hung sashes with exposed boxing and original glazing bars. The ground floor windows are topped with gauged segmental brick arches. There is a segmental-arched recessed doorway that includes a fanlight and a panelled door. Stone finials adorn the south gable wall. The Dolphin Hotel, Ouse Villa, and this building form a group.
