Raewood Villa, 105 Magdalen Yard Road, Dundee

Raewood Villa, built around 1866, is a two-storey and basement villa with a later 19th century wing. The structure features coursed rubble and painted ashlar dressings. The south elevation showcases a Corinthian columned doorpiece, with a single-storey section to the right that has shouldered arched windows and cast-iron mullions. It is adorned with a dentil cornice and cast-iron brattishing, and there is a lean-to conservatory on the left. On the first floor, there are two windows beneath a barge-boarded gable and a tall stack, along with an oculus on the left flank of the side gable.

The elevation facing Osbourne Place includes two advanced barge-boarded gabled bays, featuring canted windows on the ground floor and two and three-light rounded-headed windows on the first floor, complemented by band and cill courses. The central bay has a tripartite window.

The slightly set back later northern wing (1A) includes a door, a tripartite ground floor window with cast-iron mullions, and a triple round-arched window below a gablet, along with an oculus in the northern gable. The villa has slate roofs with overhanging eaves and ridge stacks, and the windows are primarily sash and case, with mostly plate glass.
