The building at 3 Windsor Place, part of the terrace at 1-6 Windsor Place, Dundee, dates from approximately 1835 to 1840. It is a two-storey neo-classical terrace constructed in ashlar. The terrace is symmetrical in design and features fluted Doric-columned porticos. Windows are set within architraves. The end houses have a three-bay facade and four-columned porticos, while the central houses have a two-window facade, with single porticos serving the recessed properties. The two central houses are distinguished by a paired four-columned portico. The building has a continuous cornice and a balustraded parapet. Chimney stacks protrude from the roof ridge. Number 1 Windsor Place incorporates an attic with two dormers. Number 6 Windsor Place has a simpler, three-bay elevation facing Windsor Street, with a balustraded parapet.
