Description

Ouse Villa is an 18th-century building located on the east side of the road, immediately south of the bridge. It is two storeys high, constructed of red brick with a tile roof, a cement plinth, a stucco band between the storeys, and corbelling at the eaves. The building features six windows, two of which are blocked. The original windows on the ground floor have been blocked and replaced by three wider segmental-arched windows, all retaining their original glazing bars. The former hipped dormers have been demolished. A 19th-century stucco doorway is flanked by pilasters that support an entablature, and it includes a fanlight and a panelled door. There is a cast iron trellis portico leading to the garden on the north side. Ouse Villa, along with The Dolphin Hotel and the adjoining building, forms a group.
