Description

This is a cottage, likely dating from the late 17th or early 18th century. It originated as a timber-framed building, but has later brick repairs and a plaster render. The roof is long and thatched, with a half-hipped end on the right. A brick end stack has been repaired. The original plan likely comprised two bays, though there may once have been a third bay to the left. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, featuring one dormer window. It has two 20th-century windows and a doorway in its original location. Timber framing is visible in the right-hand gable end and on the interior. Inside, there is an inglenook hearth, along with an original partition wall separating the hall and service bay, and another partition wall between the pantry and storage area within the service bay.
