Description

The Church of Holy Trinity is a parish church dating from 1840, with subsequent work in 1874 and 1890, designed by J. Wild. It is constructed of yellow brick, with cement tile roofing. The building features end parapets on stone kneelers, a brick eaves cornice, and a corbel table. The layout comprises a nave, north and south aisles, and a north-east tower over a vestry. The architectural style is Neo Norman. The west end has three graduated single-light windows within round-headed arches, above a doorway with a similar round-headed arch of three orders. Similar single-light, round-headed windows are present in the south and north aisles. The north-east tower has a three-stage design including the bell stage, and is topped with a pyramidal, tiled spire roof.

Inside, there is a north and south arcade of four bays, featuring round-headed arches of two chamfered orders supported by columns with moulded capitals and bases. A galleried west end is also present, along with a tall round-headed chancel arch and a three-bay reredos.
