Description

No. 40 North Green is a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are constructed of brick and rendered, featuring long straw thatch and a sawtooth eaves cornice. The cottages have a ridge stack and end parapets on kneelers. There is an outshut at the rear that may be contemporary with the cottages. The buildings are one storey with an attic and have two dormers. Each cottage includes one doorway and one window, both of which are from the 20th century but may be in the original openings.
