Description

This is a cottage, likely dating from the late 18th century. Constructed of brick in English bond, it has a thatched roof with tumbled end parapets on kneelers, now cement rendered. The cottage is single-range in plan, with a gable end facing the road, and features small, symmetrical end stacks flush with the wall façade. The front elevation contains three casement windows. Two sixteen-pane hung sashes flank the doorway, which is a panelled door with two small glazed upper panels. A brick and thatched kitchen was added to the right-hand side, probably in the 19th century. The cottage is one storey and has an attic.
