Description

Corner Cottage is a 17th-century house located in Northill on Warden Road. It features a timber-framed construction that has undergone some rebuilding and recasing in brick, with most of the exterior rendered and colorwashed, although some of the original framing is still visible. The cottage has a thatched roof and originally consisted of a three-room plan, with one storey and attics. The front elevation includes three ground floor windows and one eyebrow dormer, all fitted with 20th-century replacement casements that have leaded lights. There is a plank door located in the central bay and a red brick ridge stack. Additionally, there is a 20th-century half-hipped extension on the left-hand gable end, designed in a similar style.
