Description
Shyre Cottage is a pair of cottages with origins in the 17th century, which were reworked in the 19th century. The structure is timber framed and later encased in red brick, topped with a clay tile roof. Originally designed with a three-room plan, an additional room was added to the right side in the 19th century using red brick. The cottages are one storey high with attics. On the ground floor, there are four two-light casement windows with glazing bars, while the attic features four gabled dormers, also with two-light casements and glazing bars. There are two plank doors, with No. 10 having a gabled open porch. The building has two red brick ridge stacks and two red brick gable end stacks.
