Description

This is a pair of cottages with origins in the 17th century, although they were altered and extended later. They are timber-framed and now mostly encased in red brick, with a clay tile roof. The cottages are arranged with a 4-room plan, the left-hand room being a later addition built of brick. They are one storey high, with attics. The ground floor features three windows of three lights each, and one window of two lights; all are casements and partly leaded, with some glazing bars. There are four gabled dormers with two-light casements in the attic. A plank door is present at each cottage, the right-hand door aligning with a double red brick ridge stack. A red brick integral stack is located to the south gable end.
