Description
No. 7 Warden Road is a 17th-century house constructed with a timber frame and colourwashed plaster infill. It features a thatched roof that is hipped at the south end. The original design included a two-room plan with one storey and attics, but a later single-storey bay was added to the south, which created the hip in the roof. Additionally, a 20th-century single-storey bay was added to the north end.
The eastern elevation of the original block has one three-light casement window, one single-light window, and a part-glazed door on the ground floor, along with two eyebrow dormers that each contain two-light casements. All windows are 20th-century replacements with glazing bars. The later southern bay projects forward, which is due to a lath and plaster wall that was built to conceal the struts supporting the main wall. The house has one red brick double ridge stack and one external red brick stack at the south end.
