House. Circa 1600. Timber framed construction with colourwashed roughcast render. Clay tile roof. H-plan, central block of one storey and attics, cross-wings of 2 storeys and attics. cross-wings each have 2 storeyed canted bay window. Attics are jettied, with substantial shaped brackets. RH cross- wing has 2-light window to attic. Main block has central one storey and attics gabled porch, with pointed-arched entrance. Porch flanked by 3-light windows to ground floor and gabled dormers to attic. All windows are leaded casements. Plank door in moulded surround. Central block has 2 double ridge stacks with diagonally set shafts in red brick, RH one with limestone base. LH cross-wing has similar double ridge stack. RH cross-wing has plain brick stack to side wall. Porch has plaque: "SW 1788. Restored by SW 1884. 1950". RH wing retains C17 staircase with some turned balusters, and lit by 7-light mullioned leaded window. Some moulded and stopped beams to ground floor.
