Description
Sweetbrier Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, likely refronted in the 18th century. It features colourwashed roughcast over a timber frame and has a clay tile roof that is hipped at the south and east corners. The building is arranged in a U-plan, with a front block of two storeys and cross-wings that also rise to two storeys and attics.
On the southeast elevation, there are three 3-light casement windows with glazing bars on each floor. The entrance, located between the two right-hand bays, has a flat hood supported by cut brackets and a 20th-century door. The eaves cornice is moulded wood, and there are two red brick ridge stacks, with the left-hand one being substantial and having a rebuilt top. The other elevations mainly feature 20th-century casements with glazing bars.
