Description
Claypits Farmhouse is a house that has been divided into two properties, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It features pebbledash render over a substantial timber frame and has a clay tile roof. The building has an H-plan layout, with a central block that is two storeys high, flanked by cross-wings that also rise to two storeys and include attics. On the south elevation, there is a mix of window casements, mostly from the 19th century, with one window retaining its leading. The farmhouse has three plank doors, two of which have small windows. There are two red brick chimney stacks on the central block: one is multiple ridge and the other is single ridge. The rear of the property includes a variety of single-storey additions.
