Description
Nos. 13 and 15 Thorncote Green are two cottages dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. They are constructed with timber framing and have colourwashed roughcast render. Cottage No. 13 features a thatched roof, while No. 15 has a clay tiled roof.
No. 13 has a two-room layout, is one storey high with attics, and includes two 2-light horizontal sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor. There is also a gabled dormer with a 2-light casement window that has glazing bars, and a plank door aligned with a red brick double ridge stack.
No. 15, which has a two-room plan, is two storeys tall and features two 2-light horizontal sash windows on each floor, all with glazing bars. The central entrance has a part-glazed door set in a moulded surround, topped with a gabled hood supported by out brackets. Both gable ends have red brick integral stacks, and there are various lean-to additions at the rear.
