Description
No. 19 Thorncote Green is a house that was formerly three separate properties, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with a rear wing that has a plaque indicating it was built in 1757. The building features timber framed construction with colourwashed roughcast render and a clay tile roof. The front block is the earliest part, while the rear block forms an overall L-plan. The house has two storeys and attics.
The front elevation includes three small projecting two-storey gables, with the central gable slightly extended in the 20th century to create a porch, while the flanking gables have bay windows. Most of the windows are 20th-century casements, but the right-hand bay retains leaded lights on the first floor. The front door is also from the 20th century. A central multiple ridge stack is roughcast and colourwashed. The west elevation displays a variety of windows, mostly casements with leaded lights, and there is a large 20th-century extension on the north gable end.
