Description
Brook End House is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with a date panel indicating "G.T. 1798," referring to Godfrey Thornton of Mogerhanger House. The building features timber framed construction with colourwashed roughcast render and a thatched, half-hipped roof. It has a two-room plan and stands two storeys tall with attics.
On the ground floor, there are two canted bays that feature a wood dentil cornice and casements with glazing bars. The first floor includes two three-light casement windows with moulded surrounds. The front door is off-centre and consists of four flush panels, surrounded by a moulded frame and topped with a small hood supported by cut brackets. Additionally, there is a red brick double ridge stack that serves back-to-back hearths.
