Description

The double range of barns at Elm Farm was built around 1916, with some later additions. These barns feature weatherboard cladding and gable end roofs, covered with a mix of old clay tiles and some concrete tiles. The timber frame construction mainly consists of re-used framework, likely from the 17th and 18th centuries, including trusses, purlins, bracing, and wall posts. The barns are closely associated with the farmhouse and are situated in a prominent location on the green.
