Description
This barn, dating from the early 18th century, forms the northern half of the eastern side of the yard, located 50 meters east of Polehanger Farmhouse. It is constructed with a timber frame and is clad in weatherboarding, resting on a red brick plinth. The roof is made of clay tiles and is half-hipped at the southern end. The barn has a seven-bay plan and features a single-rafters roof with clasped purlins and queen struts. There is an outshot on the eastern elevation that aligns with double cart doors, which are 20th-century replacements, located on the western elevation.
