Description
Saville Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. It features a timber frame with some areas of rough cast and incised plaster, all of which are colour washed. The roof is made of old clay tiles. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a two-storey block facing the road and a one-storey rear block that includes attics.
On the road elevation, there are 20th-century casement windows. The southeast elevation has 20th-century casements in the cross-wing, a 20th-century door, and a four-light casement on the ground floor, along with a gabled dormer that has a two-light casement in the rear wing. The front block features a red brick double ridge stack, while the rear wing has a red brick gable end stack. Additionally, there is a 20th-century single-storey extension at the rear.
