Description

Pound Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located on High Street in Great Barford. The building features a colour-washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and has a thatched roof. It originally has a two-room plan and is one storey with attics. In 1978/9, it was extended to the north to create an L-shaped layout. The farmhouse has 20th-century casement windows and a front door that aligns with a red brick ridge stack, which serves a back-to-back hearth. There are three gabled dormers, including one from the 20th century, and the left-hand end of the roof is hipped.
