Description

The Great War Memorial in Knotting is made of limestone and features a miniature shrine on a column. The shrine has four sides, a gabled roof, corner buttresses, and four figures on its sides. It rests on cherub heads and wings that form the top of a long octagonal column, which stands on a square base adorned with quatrefoils on each side. This base is set on a two-stepped octagonal plinth. The memorial is located in St Margaret's churchyard and is listed for its group value.
