Description
This building is a storeroom located about 10 metres northeast of The Black Boy Hotel. Originally a coach house and stables, it dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone alterations in the mid-19th century and some in the mid-20th century. The structure is made of brick and painted brick, topped with a tile roof.
The south front of the building features a gabled design with two storeys. There is a loft door on the first floor, framed by a wooden architrave and flanked by two diamond-pattern hit-and-miss ventilators. A similar ventilator is located in the gable, with an owl hole positioned above it. On the ground floor, there are two glazing bar sash windows beneath timber lintels, which flank a central entrance that has a segmental head. A lean-to extends along the entire left (west) side of the building, while the right-hand (east) front displays a dentilled brick cornice.
