Description
This building, located at 12 Kidderminster Road in Bewdley, is a house that likely dates back to the early 17th century. It was remodeled in the early 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. The structure features a timber frame that is clad in rough-cast brick, topped with a machine tile roof and a gable end stack.
The house is two storeys high and has a cellar. It showcases a dentilled brick cornice and a quoined effect at the corners and around the windows, which are slightly recessed and finished with smooth render. There are three windows on the upper floor, all of which are boxed glazing bar sashes. The ground floor has four windows, including three boxed glazing bar sashes and a boxed 16-pane sash positioned to the right of centre.
Access to the house is through an entrance located in the right-hand corner of the adjoining building, The Black Boy Hotel. The left-hand gable of the house reveals visible timber framing, which is close-studded and features two collars along with elaborately carved bargeboards.
