House. Probably early C17, remodelled early C18 with mid-C19 and some late C20 alterations. Timber-frame clad in rough-cast brick with machine tile roof and gable end stack. Two storeys on cellar, dentilled brick cornice, quoined effect to corners and windows given by slightly recessed smooth render; three windows: boxed glazing bar sashes; ground floor: four windows: three boxed glazing bar sashes with a boxed 16-pane sash to right of centre. Entrance is gained from an entrance in the right-hand corner of the adjoining building [The Black Boy Hotel (qv)]. Framing: visible in left-hand gable, which is close-studded with two collars and elaborately carved bargeboards.
