Description
Jasmine Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with mid-19th century and some late 20th century alterations. It is constructed of brick and has a tile roof. The building stands two storeys high with an attic that is illuminated by two gabled dormers. It features a dentilled brick cornice and a band on both floors. The left side has 19th century yellow brick quoins. There are two windows on the upper floor, which are 2-light casements set under cambered heads. On the ground floor, to the left, there is a window in a pilastered surround with a shallow wooden canopy and multi-pane glazing, while to the right is a 3-light casement under a segmental head. The central entrance has a pilastered wooden doorcase with brackets supporting a flat canopy and a half-glazed door. Jasmine Cottage adjoins number 234 Westbourne Street.
