Description

A group of probably late 17th-century malt houses, now converted into three houses, located on the west side of Westbourne Street, Wribbenhall, Bewdley. The buildings have undergone alterations in the late 19th century and the late 20th century. They are timber-framed with painted brick infill, with some areas of replacement painted brick, and have a machine tile roof with ridge stacks. The gable end faces the road. The building is two storeys high, featuring a single two-light casement window on each floor. The north front has three entrances and five two-light windows inserted into the first floor during the 20th century. The timber framing is arranged in three square panels high to the first floor, while the ground floor has been rebuilt but likely retains two square panels high. The gable end features straight tension braces to the first floor, and the roof truss incorporates two collars, multiple struts, and trenched purlins.
