Description
These are three houses located on the north side of High Street in Bewdley. They were built in the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and again in the mid-20th century. The houses are constructed of brick and have a tile roof, with stacks at the rear. They are two storeys high, with an attic space lit by three gabled dormers.
The houses have three windows on each floor. The upper windows are 16-pane sashes set beneath brick wedge lintels. On the ground floor, the left-hand window is a tripartite sash with a cambered head, while the other two windows are 16-pane sashes beneath brick hat arches.
Each house has a different entrance. The entrance to No. 19, at the left corner, features a wooden architrave, a flat wooden canopy supported by scroll brackets, and a six-panel door with the upper four panels glazed. The entrance to No. 20, in the centre, is similar, with a wooden architrave, scroll brackets to the flat canopy, and a six-panel glazed door. The entrance to No. 21, at the right corner, has a corresponding architrave, canopy, and door. To the right-hand corner is an entrance to a passage that leads to Court No. 1, which is not included in the listing. This entrance consists of a moulded wooden architrave and a four-panel flush door.
