Description

These are two early 19th-century houses located on the north side of High Street in Bewdley. They are constructed of brick with a machine tile roof and a central chimney stack. The houses have three storeys and feature a dentilled brick cornice. The front elevation has one window to the left and two windows to the right, with a visible straight joint between the properties. The windows are largely glazing bar sashes with plastered wedge lintels. The second floor windows are six-pane sashes with plastered wedge lintels. On the ground floor, the window to the left has fluted pilasters and a shallow flat canopy, and a top-hung casement window. The window to the right is a sixteen-pane sash with a plastered wedge lintel. The entrance to number 5 is to the right of the left-hand window and features a moulded wooden architrave, a flat canopy, and a six-panel door, with the upper two panels glazed. The entrance to number 6 is in the corner of the building, leading to a passage. It has a corner entrance with a wooden doorcase, a plastered wedge lintel, and a 20th-century panelled door. The entrance to the house itself has a moulded architrave, a flat canopy, and a six-panel door.
