GV II House, now part of a house and a shop. Early C18 with mid-C19 and some late C20 alterations. Brick with hipped tile roof, stacks to rear. On a corner site, with a front to Load Street. Three storeys with attic lit by a gabled dormer, moulded wooden cornice, band to first floor; small projection to right, two plus one windows; boxed glazing bar sash, a 4- pane boxed sash and a further boxed glazing bar sash; 4-light sash on the return wall, all under rubbed brick heads, second floor windows the same; ground floor: entrance placed diagonally to left-hand corner with glazed door: shop front has a modillioned cornice, pilaster to. left, window in two plate glass sheets. Load Street front: three windows to first floor with boxed glazing bar sashes under rubbed brick heads, and the some on the second floor; ground floor has shop front. Interior: upper storeys connected to no 2 High Street (qv); it has 6-panelled mahogany doors with brass fittings, and some re-set C17 panelling at the stair head.
