Description
The Talbot Inn is a public house that was originally built as a house in the early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th and mid-20th centuries. It is constructed of brick and has a tile roof. The building has two storeys and features a band at the first floor, a stone-coped parapet, and a brick-coped verge.
There are six windows in total: on the upper floor, there are two-light 20th-century casements beneath rubbed brick heads. On the ground floor, to the right, there are three windows consisting of two 16-pane sashes flanking a 12-pane sash. To the left, there is a 3-pane shop window that shares the same cornice as the entrance, which is located to the right of the window and accessed by two steps. This entrance features a 2-pane overlight and a six flush panelled door. The main entrance is positioned to the left of centre, also approached by two steps, and is framed by a heavily moulded wooden architrave, a 2-pane overlight, and a 20th-century ledged and boarded door. The building is included for its group value.
